Our wealth of experience in scrap metal recovery and recycling dates back to 1922, when we started our business in Hull ninety-five years ago. As a Yorkshire business, Drapers and Son have a very strongly established reputation that extends nationally and beyond.
Based in Raven Street in Hull on a site extending over two acres, Drapers handle waste from a wide range of metals including iron, steel, copper, brass, lead, aluminium and stainless steel. We provide a comprehensive waste management and metal recycling service to meet the demand of a wide range of industries.
Some of our more recent investment on our three acre site in Raven Street here in Hull, has been focussed on installation of leading vehicle depollution and fuel recovery equipment. This is for end of life vehicles which is an important part of our recycling process.
Our investment in advanced Vehicle Depollution Equipment reflects our commitment to protecting the environment.
Our Vehicle Depollution System includes a Fuel Tank Drill for draining diesel and petrol from metal or plastic tanks.
A unique vapour removal system called a Fuel Scavenger vents dangerous and explosive petrol vapour out of our depollution bay.
A VapourSafe Storage System then creates a sealed vapour transfer system that provides us with a safe working environment.
From our very beginnings, scrap metal recovery and recycling have been at the heart of the Drapers business for over 90 years.
We are committed to protecting the environment by preventing tonnes of waste being sent to landfill and offer environmentally friendly options for your scrap metal.
Drapers offer a waste removal service with a wide range of skips availble from 8/10/12/14/16 yards, along with free collection of your scrap metals.
Drapers are committed to a long term programme of investment in staff and our facilities to ensure we maintain our reputation as a leading metal recycling and waste management company.
